Hello! My name is John Redin, I’m a father of two, and a real estate agent at KW Select Cascais.

A Blend of Cultures and Values

The writer and philosopher Sampaio Bruno, a key intellectual in Portugal’s republican era, once said that the Portuguese would only improve their ways if they crossed paths with the peoples of Northern Europe, where rigor, rationality, and organization are the norm.

Unintentionally, I believe I am an example of this: my father is Swedish, my mother is Portuguese, and my grandmother was German. I blend the warmth of Southern Europe with the precision of the North.

My Background and Experience

My life is shaped by diverse experiences: a German School education, hands-on work in the family’s printing business, and a commercial pilot’s license. My studies in Physics Engineering and Management, and my degree in Aeronautical Management – always aviation! – have enriched me personally and given me confidence in my professional life.

This varied background led me to a demanding 30-year career as Commercial and Marketing Director at some of Portugal’s leading packaging manufacturers, serving mainly the pharmaceutical and high-end luxury industries.

Passions Beyond Real Estate

In my free time, I enjoy scale modeling – a passion since my youth. I love assembling and painting model planes and historic vehicles, a hobby that demands patience, precision, and creativity.

I also collect vintage toys and share my knowledge and experiences on “Miniaturas de Colecção,” a space where I write enthusiastically about these topics.
